About Us

We are a just a family trying to stay in touch.  Seeing each other once a year, or at weddings and funeral is just not enough.  This is our way of tightening the laces of our already beautiful family.  We look forward to Peace, Love, and Grandma Mickie’s Homecooking.

  1. Is’nt he soo cute!! I can’t wait to go see him.

  2. Hey, this is neat. I loved reading. Lots of memories flashed back. I feel really lucky, because the day before I came to Minnesota, Aunt Mickie wrote down her recipe for tamales on the back of an evelope for me. I still have it, have used it once, and they were delicious. All the time I was following the recipe, I could actullay hear Mickie talking me through it. I would really love to see Uncle Paul. He, Mickie and I got close when I lived in Petersburg. I miss them both. All for now, weather in Red Lake, MN. is 40 degrees today, can’t get ride of sweaters yet. We actually had a blizzard last week-end. I really miss Texas, maybe I’ll move back. Keep up the blog, Mary

  3. I finely had a night that I did not have a cake to make, so I just sat in front of the TV all evening.
That’s like me. The kids actually asked me if I was sick. So I finely am getting to catch up on the family blog.
Nicole and I went to see dad today. Good day for him. Actually, the past couple of visits have been good. He has asked for Rosie, Alice, Lulu, and Aunt Betty. He has been really alert. Now, eating is not his favorite thing to do unless it is chocolate. So We just make sure we take him chocolate this and chocolate that. Oh, and he likes his Dr Pepper. He is hanging in there and every once in while (in spanish) he will tell me to tell everyone to take care of yourselves.

Well, Travis is still working with evaucuees. He has been going nonstop since the first hurricane. Hopfully he will get a true day off soon.

Evanna is really showing now but she is still going and blowing. She is working in the mornings and going to school til 11 at night. She only has two more days of school and then she will do her exturnship.

Braden has been sick. I had to take him to the Dr. three times last week. He is still hurting but I think he is getting better.

And Nicole is getting ready for birthday party on the 28th of next month. She claims is inviting the whole family. Her list has about 70 names on it. I’m not sure how I’m going to talk her into scaling her party down.

Well, in short, that’s what is going on around here.
    Hugs to all,
    Nene
